No Gym Fit Clinic 2

Avidity Fit trainers dish out round 2 of the No Gym Fit surf specific fitness clinics at Nike 6.0′s Motel No Tell.  Participants were welcomed this morning by an uncharacteristically sunny and warm sky when they arrived for this mornings 6:30 a.m workout.  New and returning faces alike spent the hour long workout session working on power and strength exercises that focus on surf specific movements.

No Gym Fit participants tested their abilities at three different stations of plyometric, medicine ball, and stability ball exercises.

“Plyometric exercises are critical for improving the explosive movements required in all sports, the exercises we did this morning focused on surf specific movements,” quotes Avidity Fit co-founder, Andy French.

Medicine ball and stability ball exercises offered a chance for participants to work on various upper and lower body strength while being forced to balance at the same time.

Avidity Fit’s Matt Bauer says, “using stability balls for strength exercises really forces your body to constantly change and adapt – something hard to find in the static movements of traditional gym exercises.”

Awesome workout, and I loved the biometrics, especially medicine balls exercises! I’d be interested in attending group classes that focus on flexibility. Your trainers were really supportive and helpful – I like their coaching style.
